2011-09-10 New York prepares for the opening of the National 9/11 Memorial

Sunday, September 11, 2011 marked ten years since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. The National September 11 Memorial, located in New York City at the site of the World Trade Center towers, opened for the first time to families of the victims and will be the site of a memorial ceremony. The memorial will be open to the public beginning Monday, September 12.
