On-strike Verizon employees, members of the Communications Workers of America (CWA), picket on the street in front of a Verizon Wireless store in Hartsdale, New York. The strike began on August 7th, 2011 due to the CWA's unhappiness with Verizon management's stance in bargaining a new contract.
